Asset Deal
What's an asset deal?
Acquisition of individual assets, possibly also debts, incl. intangible assets (e.g. customer relationships, etc.) of a company in contrast to a share deal, in which the business shares are taken over. The seller is always the owner, in the case of an asset deal the company, in the case of a share deal the shareholder(s).
